Welcome

My name is Mrs. Erica Samp and I graduated from MN Statue University, Mankato in 2002 with a BS in Secondary Social Studies Education with a concentration in History. I am licensed to teach 5-12 Social Studies.

I have been teaching full-time in the Alden-Conger school district since the fall of 2006 to the present. I feel very fortunate to teach in such a great school and community with such wonderful students! My busy schedule consists of teaching seventh/eighth grade Geography opposite of American History every other year and freshmen American History. I have really enjoyed making Geography and History engaging, hands-on, and relevant to students’ lives. As the Yearbook advisor you can find me behind a camera lens helping the yearbook staff document the school year. Lastly to help promote school spirit and community involvement, I advise the Student Council.

I also enjoy working with the dedicated staff at Alden-Conger. As the Staff Development Co-Coordinator and a member of the IObserve Leadership Team, I help my fellow colleagues all while improving myself as a teacher and leader. To promote a healthy life style among the staff, I head the Health and Wellness Committee.

Outside of school I am a wife to Chad and mother of two beautiful daughters, Markey and Scarlett. I spend my free time taking my children to their activities, dance and figure skating. I also enjoy photography, theater, traveling, the outdoors, camping, biking, and spending time with my family.

If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at my email address [email protected] and/or phone number (507-874-3240). I value all questions and I know that communication is the key to success.
