Alden-Conger Spirit of Christmas
Alden-Conger Spirit of Christmas program, which helps bring Christmas to families in need in the Alden-Conger School District (and families that are open enrolled to the district), kicks off its program in early November each year. This program was started in the early 1990's by Mary & Loren Grasdalen. Mary and Loren were members of our community and both were dedicated teachers at Alden-Conger for many years. Together with the help of other staff and community members this program grew and became what it is today.
Mary and Loren have since passed, but their legacy has continued on with the Spirit of Christmas program at Alden-Conger. Through the work of a few A-C staff members and with the help of our community, we are able to help make sure all families and students have the opportunity to feel the Christmas spirit.
Request for help from Spirit of Christmas Program
If you need help bringing Christmas to your children, please fill out the form below under "Spirit of Christmas request form" on this page or the link below to submit your form electronically. This year we are asking the request forms be turned in by Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.
In your request, please include your name, phone number, names, ages and clothing sizes of minor children and times when you can be reached. Our list is cross-checked with other agencies. We cannot help you if you are getting help from Salvation Army, United Way, churches or similar agencies.

If you can print the request form, please put it in a sealed envelope and return to the High School or Elementary office labeled "Spirit of Christmas". Someone will then contact your family to schedule the date and time for you to pick up your gifts.

If you would like to help/donate to Spirit of Christmas
If you or someone you know would like to help with the Spirit of Christmas program, cash donations are very welcome and accepted year round. These donations will be used to help purchase clothing items for older children and food baskets for the families. If you would prefer to donate a gift item, the program always needs socks of all sizes, board and card games, AXE or Dove for males, shower gel/lotion sets for females, or gift cards for high school age kids.
