Varsity Assistant/JV Baseball Coach

Alden-Conger and Glenville-Emmons Schools

AC/GE has an opening for a varsity assistant/JV baseball coach. The work schedule will vary each week with practices, home games, and road games in the afternoon/evening on weekdays. Some Saturday coaching may also be involved. This position is supervised by the Head Coach and Activities Director.

Duties:
-Teach grit, positivity, responsibility, respect and other life lessons through sport
-Serve as a positive role model for players and parents.
-Assist the head coach in teaching skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for members of the team
-Assist the head coach in conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength, and agility
-Assist the head coach in being responsible for all aspects of directing the team's practice and play in games.
-Monitor player's personal conduct during games
-Manage equipment
-Other duties as required

Ability to work with children of this age; basic knowledge of baseball; willingness to learn and follow district rules and guidelines; prior coaching experience is helpful but not required
