Lesson 5: Sing the school song using the words below. If you need help remembering the tune, click on the link to hear it played by a marching band. Can you sing the melody and play the steady beat on your homemade instrument at the same time? Can you sing, play, and march at the same time?

Lesson 4: Click the link below to hear our school song played by a marching band. Use your homemade instrument to play the beat along with the song. Can you march AND play the beat at the same time?

Lesson 3: Make a homemade instrument like a drum or shaker. Use things in your home like an empty container or jar. Put noodles or seeds in it for a shaker. Or use pencils to strike a container for a drum. Try keeping a steady beat. Singing the "Welcome Back" song, after each phrase, play "ta ta." After singing each phrase, play "ta-ti ta." Describe your homemade instrument.

Lesson 2: Using the same "Welcome Back" song as last time, STOMP "ta ta" at the end of each phrase. STOMP "ta-ti ta" at the end of each phrase. Where else can you play the rhythms on your body?

Lesson 1: After speaking each phrase, clap twice. Try to remember the tune from last year. Clap twice at the end of singing each phrase. Say "ta ta" as you clap. Sing the song again, and clap "ta-ti ta" after each phrase. What challenges did you have with this activity?
