All websites on the World Wide Web are written with the hypewrtext markup language or HTML. The web browsers translate the HTML code and turns it into what you see in your browser. The element in the coding are surrounded by tags. for example text with heading 1 would have the H1 and /H1 tags around it. the tags all have the <> angle brackets arround it but can't be shown since the web browser would translate them.
