This class is in two parts.  Part one deals with the earth as a whole including map skills, discovering the layers below the earth’s cruse, the atmosphere water cycle, weather, climate, food production and energy sources.  The second part divides the earth into several regions and studies the specific political and physical geography, the people, culture, industry, religion, government and history.  Current events and geographic skills are highlighted.
